VISITING THE SANCTUARY
“Beneath a beautiful rock mountain that touches the sky lies a secret enchanted Garden. It is a Wildlife Garden. Inside its walls there are trees and flowers and a waterfall, where rescued wild animals play…”
From the first of Earthfire’s children’s book series “Swatworth, Josie, and the Buffalo Girls.”
Thank you for your sincere interest in Earthfire.
There are few places in the world where you can have the intimate experience with wildlife that you can have at Earthfire. Visiting opportunities are limited, so we consider each request to visit our sanctuary carefully; we would like to give you the chance to meet and help our animals. To give you a quality experience requires considerable staff investment and time, and that expenditure of resources has to be in our budget. All visitor fees and donations help support the personal care of the animals that makes this type of encounter possible.
The basic fee for a visit is $250 for 1-4 people and lasts 1-2 hours. Each additional person, adult or child, is $75. Groups are limited to 8. We don’t want to exclude people based on finances; so we are happy to consider equal-value, in-kind trades.
For school rates please call.
Prior to your arrival we will send you information to help prepare you for your visit. Time spent here in the presence of the animals is very unlike a zoo experience; here you slow down, expand your senses, and enter into the worlds of science and mystery.
